Job Aid: How to Record Labor Hours on the Time Clock

Recording a Time Punch

1. Enter your badge number (employee #) on the 10-key pad and press the Enter key.

2. The screen will then display, “Accepted Punch,” your name and the date and time of your

punch. There will also be a green light in the upper right corner.

Performing a Labor Transfer

1. Press the “Job Transfer” key.

2. Enter your badge number (employee #) on the 10-key pad and press the Enter key.

3. The screen will then display, “Labor Transfer Accepted,” your name and the date and time of

your punch.

4. Note: When you perform a transfer at the clock, the system takes the labor hours from that time

forward and puts them into the account transferred to. At the end of the day, you simply need

to do a regular time punch (see Recording a Time Punch above) to clock out for the day. (For

example, an employee comes in at 8 AM. At 10 AM he performs a labor transfer. At 1 PM he

clocks out for the day. He would have 2 hours to the regular labor account, and 3 hours to the

2nd (transfer) account.)
