OBJECTIVE:
To obtain a position creating and designing print and/or web graphics in a print / advertising / marketing environment
EXPERIENCE:
The Print Shoppe - Flemington, NJ (Oct 08 – Present) – Lead Graphic Designer
Duties included:
Producing original content for clients which included: Business stationery (business cards, letterhead, envelopes), presentation folders,
brochures, direct mail, promotional signage and materials, advertisements, newsletters, product catalogues, posters, visual identity, and
front-end web design. Clients were met with personally, where design solutions were based and made based on customer expectations
and budget restrictions.
In addition to producing original content and layouts, customer supplied files were pre-flighted to ensure successful production (checking
that all fonts and images were included in delivery of files, that all images were in the proper color format, and that all layouts met print
production specifications in regards to job specifications.) If files supplied were in need of adjustment appropriate corrections were
made. Duties also included compiling data and prepping data for merges for mailing campaigns and Purl online and print campaigns.
Digitally printed jobs were output to Xerox Igen, Ricoh Aficio Copiers, and HP Wide Format Inkjet Printer.
Offset projects were produced internally for simple and complex spot color pieces.
All major original design projects were overseen and completed solely by me.

Adobe Creative Suite 4 (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash and Acrobat Professional), Quark 8, Microsoft Office
2007 (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint), Extensis Suitcase Fusion, Colorburst Pro Layout Series, Fusion Pro merge and imposition
software, Bulk Mailer, and Cyberduck and Fetch FTP Clients. (All new projects were designed exclusively in InDesign.)
Galvanek & Wahl Advertising Agency - Manville, NJ (Jun 08 – Sep 08) – Freelance Graphic Designer
Duties included:
Produced a number of print related materials that ranged from brochures to direct mail pieces. Additionally, developed two mascot
characters for BUDD Van Lines two be used in national marketing pieces. Duties also involved front-end web design work for several
clients.
Software used included:
Adobe Creative Suite 3 (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat Professional), Dreamweaver.
B&L Printing - Manville, NJ (Oct 06 – Jun 08) – Lead Graphic Designer
Duties included:
Producing original content for clients which included: Business stationery (business cards, letterhead, envelopes), presentation folders,
brochures, direct mail, promotional signage and materials, advertisements, newsletters, product catalogues, posters and visual identity.
Custom logos were developed in vector format to ensure scalability for varying usage. All images for content developed was purchased
through web image sites, personally photographed, or created from scratch in the form of hand drawn art. Clients were met with
personally, where design solutions were based and made based on customer expectations and budget restrictions.
In addition to producing original content and layouts, customer supplied files were pre-flighted to ensure successful production (checking
that all fonts and images were included in delivery of files, that all images were in the proper color format, and that all layouts met print
production specifications in regards to job specifications.) If files supplied were in need of adjustment appropriate corrections were
made.

Printer.

LASERWAVE Design Studio – New Brunswick, NJ (Sep 06 – Oct 06) – Graphic Designer
Duties included:
Updating graphical content on a variety of packaging for varying products, which included Just Wireless Cell Phone accessories and
Micro Innovations computer accessories, brands carried in both Walmart and Target. Images used for products were shot digitally at in-
house photography studio, then prepped and corrected in Photoshop. Files were prepped and functional mock-ups were constructed.
Upon completion and approval, files were packaged and uploaded via FTP site to China for production. Additionally, files developed
outside and delivered by customers were pre-flighted to ensure successful print production.

Adobe Creative Suite 2 (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat Professional), Quark 6, Microsoft Office 2004 (Word, Excel, and
Powerpoint), Extensis Suitcase, Colorburst Pro Layout Series, Cyberduck FTP Client. (All new projects were designed exclusively in
InDesign.)
MMP Printing and Graphics – Somerville, NJ (Sep 02 – Sep 06) – Lead Graphic Designer
Duties included:
Creating original graphic content for varying print pieces that included business stationery, flyers, brochures, catalogues, direct mail,
posters, sell sheets, manuals, and invitation packages. Design solutions were created in anywhere from 1 to 3 spot colors to full process
color. In addition to developing graphical content digitally, traditional hand drawn art was created and used. Digital proofs were created
prior to production and were output digitally black and white to Canon Image Runner 3500 or to Toshiba and Ricoh color devices. Offset
printing jobs were printed in house, poly plates were created using a DPX image setter, checked to ensure separations were correct and
delivered to press room for production.

Cream Magazine – Ewing, NJ – Graphic Designer (part-time)
Duties included:
Creating ads for small local newspaper. Designs were created both on-site and from home. Ads were designed in black and white, and
designs were based on impactful layout and intelligent use of typography.
