Formative Feedback Strategy
A Learning Activity I am using in my Integration Plan is “Charlie and
the Chocolate Factory Web Quest.”
During this activity, students will follow step-by-step directions in
which students are journaling each day, and interacting as well as
discussing with a group of peers. I will guide and facilitate learning
during this process to gauge student understanding.
After each student finishes reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,
I will look at each student’s response journal, candy invention, and
board game and use rubrics to grade that student’s progress.
Then, I will have an independent conference with each student and
show them the rubrics so they know where they stand as a reader.
Then together, with student input, we will make goals on where to move
next to improve his or her reading skills.
