BAKED CUSTARD



2 cups whole milk 3 whole eggs or 4 egg yolks,

½ cup sugar or 1/3 cup honey beaten

1/8 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla



1. Preheat oven to 300 to 326°.

2. Blend milk, sugar, and salt well. Add eggs and beat well. The greater portion

of yolks the more tender the custard will be.

3. Add vanilla. Beat well and pour into a baker or into individual custard cups.

Place the molds in a pan of warm water and place in an oven for an hour or

more.

4. When you can insert a knife in the edge and it comes out clean, remove from

oven and pan. Place on a rack to cool. Custards will finish cooking in the

center while cooling.
