Taught one course in traditional photography, including lecture and studio sessions

(darkroom and shooting assignments) each semester. Content covered basics of camera

use, developing film and making silver gelatin prints, composition and aesthetics, and digital

photography uses and workflow.

(similar to Assistant Vice-President for ITS) (2004-2006)

Reported to the Vice President – Information Technology/CIO, lead university-wide efforts

regarding use of technology for teaching, learning, research and clinical endeavors.

Consulted with deans and department chairs to ascertain technology needs for their units.

Provided senior level leadership, set strategic directions for areas within the unit, managed

personnel (35 individuals total), coordinated efforts to increase and improve use of

technology in teaching, coordinated development of eLearning technologies, and worked

cooperatively with the Center for Teaching Excellence. Overall responsibility for technologies

and Productivity Center (sponsors included FatWire, IBM and Marketing Choices).



Selected participant at professional conferences/workshops that included the Directors’

Guild of America Educators Workshop and SIGGRAPH (the Association for Computer

Machinery Special Interest Group in Graphics).



The Easter Seal Society of Missouri honoree with the Outstanding Public Service Award, and

students in the Webster University Communication Department voted the Outstanding

Faculty Achievement Award for development of the Collaborative Film Project.





PUBLICATIONS/EXHIBITS



Photographs have appeared in numerous publications, ranging from Architectural Digest and

Popular Photography to AP Wire Service and the Kansas City Star.



Work has been on display in many group exhibits, including faculty and regional shows.

One-person shows were mounted in London, England and Beliz, Brazil. Juried exhibits

selected work in Los Angeles, New York, and regional shows. Prints available for purchase

through 2008 Gallery St. Louis, 2008 Cherokee St., St. Louis, MO.



Directed/produced films and videos selected for showing at the University Film and Video

Association annual conferences, several cable TV systems, and on Public Television in

Kansas and Missouri.

IAP Grant, Title III, U.S. Department of Education, co-author of Communication Literacy

Activity, $100,000 over two years to design, plan and implement color television production

facility, to produce video tapes for various instructional areas and the fine arts,
