If I Were an
Inventor

If I were an
inventor, which
perhaps some
day I’ll be,
I’d build a
house to live in
at the bottom
of the sea.
I’d fashion an
amazing outer
space machine
To carry me to
planets that no
one’s ever
seen.
If I were an
inventor, which
which is quite a
fine career,
I’d craft a clever
gizmo that made
homework
disappear.
Then, with no
regrets, I’d
delightedly
create
A tool for
turning spinach
into chocolate
on my plate.
I’d use my skill
for constructing
a wonderful
device
That let me
skate on water
just as easily
as ice.
A robot so
obedient it
would do my
every chore.
If I were an
inventor, I’d
make all this…
And
More!
