Bernard Goetz, Subway Vigilante
On December 22, 1984, Bernard
Goetz shot four young men,
allegedly mugging him, on the New
York City Subway. The case
received much publicity, and
sensation, due to the fact that many
applauded his actions, and many
received them as racially motivated.
Bernard was also arrested for
weapon possession, and spent 250
days in jail for that charge. Priscilla,
Ben, Kevin, Alexis,
Michael Vick, Bad Newz Kennels
On April 25, 2007, a drug search warrant was
issued to police to search then quarterback for
the Atlanta Falcons. When the police arrived,
they found much more than drugs, they found
that he had been running an illegal Dog
Fighting ring on premises. Seventy dogs were
seized, most of which were Pit Bull Terriers,
and many of which showed signs of injury.
Allegedly, there had also been executions of
dogs that did not perform well. The case
gained great sensation, and very quickly,
because of the gruesome nature of the crime,
as well as its high profile defendant.
