“Live Better!” – Arbonne Essentials Nutrition Phone Call

1.) 7-Day Internal Cleanse

Spring cleaning for the body. Mix one bottle with water or juice and drink each day. The

Cleanse contains sea vegetable sources such as nori, broken-cell chlorella, buckthorn and

spirulina, which have been used for ages for nourishment and detoxification. The formula

also has the herbals rhubarb, slippery elm, milk thistle, astragalus, nettle leaf, and senna –

which is a natural laxative. These are all excellent ingredients for effective and gentle

detoxification of the liver and digestive tract. Each element detoxifies, soothes and repairs,

or is adaptogenic (supports the body in stress).

Why is it important to cleanse? The liver is responsible for a large part of the body’s

metabolic functions. Every day we are exposed to pollution in our air, water, food, contact

with cleaning chemicals or at the gas pump (petroleum is toxic!). The liver filters blood

continuously, clogging it up with these chemical substances, which we now call “obesegens”,

a real word! The liver is the nuclear storage of the body, and when it sequesters these

chemicals, it puts them into “storage tanks” in the form of fat, especially belly fat. It is

especially important to cleanse every 30 days when trying to shed excess weight. This will

continue to clean out those substances, help you overcome those weight plateaus and

improve your digestion for overall internal fitness. It will reduce that belly fat that we know

is so harmful!

2.) Daily Detox Tea

Use this for daily cleansing and support of the liver and digestion. It contains herbals that

have been used for hundreds of years for these reasons. Herbs like milk thistle (helps the

liver produce glutathione which reduces free radicals that cause cell damage), peppermint

(soothes spasms in the digestive tract, reduces gas and bloating), Fennel (Italians have used

for ages for digestion), dandelion and burdock are excellent detoxifiers for liver.

A great way to use the tea is to make a pot in the morning using 1-2 bags, depending on the

size of the pot. Drink it hot in the morning. Leave the pot out and sip it throughout the

morning warm or at room temp. If you are leaving it out longer, refrigerate and pour as

wanted. This is a great ADDITION to the 30-day cleanse cycle for weight loss!

3.) Colon Cleanse

This is yet another gentle way to detoxify the colon. It, too, contains sea vegetables,

rhubarb, slippery elm ( detoxifying and healing to mucous membranes in the digestive

tract). It also contains fructooligosaccharides (FOS) to nourish the environment of the

colon. Aloe vera is also an ingredient which is very soothing and lubricating to the

intestines. Lastly, but very importantly, Bacillus coagulans is a friendly bacteria (pro-biotic)

that has been added to support colon health.

4.) Digestion Plus

I am very excited about this product! In the West, we have so many digestive disorders, IBS,

Crohn’s, and ulcerative colitis to name a few. We know now that each decade of life our

intestinal flora diminish by about 10%. So to keep our intestines “young” and healthy, we

need to replenish using pro-biotics. Digestion Plus creates an optimal environment by

including a pre-biotic – again, FOS (chickory root). FOS are resistant starches that the body

cannot use, but friendly bacteria in our guts break them down for food, and so nourish the

intestines. They also help eliminate carcinogens – cancer-causing agents! Arbonne’s

science team also included, again, Bacillus coagulans. Known since the 1930’s, this bacteria

was recently found to improve vaginal flora, decrease abdominal pain, gas and bloating,

plus increase immune responses to viral invasion!

We average around 500 different species of gut bacteria in our bodies. The body has over

100 trillion cells, and 10 times that many microorganisms in it!! Nature knows best…we

need these! 70% of the lymphatic system is in our guts (carries toxins out of the blood

stream). Our nutrients are absorbed in the small intestine, and a balance of bacteria is

largely responsible for that function. Top Arbonne scientist, Peter Matravers, says ‘ You are

not just what you eat…you are what you can absorb!’

5.) Protein Shakes

These shakes have 20 grams of vegan protein – no whey (hard to digest + gas/bloating), no

soy protein (a very minute amount of soy lecithin for emulsifier). They are also gluten-free!

The protein is from rice, pea, and cranberry. Rice is the most digestible form of protein!

They also contain essential vitamins and minerals, Co-Q10, alfalfa, kelp, ginseng and flax

seed. These nourish when you don’t have time to eat right, or you are on a weight-loss plan.

The herbals help with cell growth, water regulation, anti-oxidants, and omega-3 fatty acids

to lubricate joints, help with mental acuity and digestion. They come in Vanilla and

Chocolate flavors. Use these with Daily Fiber Boost as a meal replacement up to twice a

day, or as a snack to keep your energy and blood sugar stable between meals.

6.) Daily Fiber Boost

Most of us don’t eat nearly enough whole foods, so this is an excellent source of fiber. It is

soft and gentle on the intestinal tract because the fiber is in the form of gums and pectins

from legumes and fruits, plus beet fiber which is also soft. It is also useful for individuals

who have digestive problems – yes…even IBS!

7.) Fit Chews

We have a major sweet fetish in America. So if you’re one of the many who crave something

sweet between meals, these are fabulous! They are made with brown rice syrup, which is

low on the glycemic scale, and won’t spike your blood sugar with that awful crash later.

They have adaptogenic herbals (codonopsis, astagalus, and rhodiola) which help lower

cortisol levels from any kind of stress. Cortisol is a stress hormone produced by the adrenal

gland in the kidney. In emergencies, it protects us, but chronic stress in our society causes

continual production which tells our bodies to produce belly fat. Fad diets, skipping meals,

fast-paced lifestyles, and even good stress (weddings, new babies, etc.) will tell kidney to

produce more cortisol.

8.) Energy Fizz Tabs

If you have been paying $5 for a latte’, or $3 for a tiny can of a “natural” energy drink (like

my husband was doing!), you can stop now and be pleasantly surprised! These Fizz Tabs

have just the right amount of punch without the jitters. And, they come out to 90 cents per

8 oz. glass! Dr. Matravers has thoughtfully included key B vitamins for healthy brain

function, and taurine which is great for mental acuity. Green tea extract (anti-oxidant and

thermogenic – helps the body ‘burn’ more calories), ginseng (anti-oxidant and energy),

guarana (50 mg natural caffeine – compare to double for a cup of coffee), and rhodiola

(adaptogen to help with stress). Energy Fizz Tabs are sweetened with stevia, a plant leaf –

no refined sugars or artificial sweeteners!
