COURSE DESCRIPTION :
The study of French pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar at beginner's level. The student
concentrates on mastering the basics of the French language through various exercises. The
emphasis is on oral communication skills, but with attention to written French as well.
COURSE OBJECTIVES :
This course is designed to introduce students to French through a study of not only the
language, but also the culture. Through much drilling and repetition, students will become
familiar with the essentials of French and be able to manage most standard social situations.
