Starting a WAHM Online Business
If you are a dedicated work-at-home online business on the edge of the foundation, there are
certain things that you need in place to successfully launch and grow, to make it profitable.
Maybe you have a shoestring budget, or you can plan on this new project for a while and saved
up for the start-up costs. Regardless, an online business on the right foot to start, you should have
seven critical points in place as soon as possible:
First Company name, domain and hosting. Do you want the kind of business you create and
know the people who benefit most will be from your service. Create a company that is short and
catchy and not require that you have to spell it, someone living in speaking. Buy a domain name,
the name of your company's compliments, and then you buy a hosting package to host on your
website. I love to buy a domain name from GoDaddy and hosting, I recommend Blue Host and
HostGator.
Second Business phone. There is no need for a landline business, if you really need.
Otherwise, use your phone to handle calls and sign up for Google Voice is a virtual number. You
can forward your business calls to your cell phone, and if you are not available to answer, you
will have a voice mail message via e-mail to receive (voice mail through Google Voice will
also). On smart phones, there is an app for Google Voice, you make outgoing calls from your
Google Voice number, so you never again will you give makes your cell phone number. Gotta
love privacy! There are numerous advantages to this service so check them out (and guess what,
it's free).
Third Be legally. Check with local, state and federal laws and find out what you must do in
order to have a legal business. Just because your company does not have to be online, you may
not need a business license or register with the government. Check the laws where you live and
contact legal. Speak with a financial advisor on what you need to track taxes. Consider hiring a
bookkeeper to help at this.
4th Have reliable IT systems. MAC or PC, makes no difference, but make sure you have a
reliable, fast computer and hold it to be serviced regularly. To be online with your business, you
must be able to connect to the Internet to check your e-mail to market your business, products
and programs to start, just to name a few. You also need a printer for those times when you need
to print out important documents. All-in-one machines are large, as well as scanners and fax
machines. Note: Faxes are not required as there are many online fax services for a low monthly
costs, such as Ring Central are.
5th Create an online presence. Once you have a domain and it is hosted, you build your
website. Even if there is only one page (also known as a landing page) is to have a page that is
available and allow people to give you the name and e-mail address to change something for
free. Write a 10 page report on tips to your target audience needs to know. This way you are
building your list, while the rest of your site is created. This is "building list" as in the Internet
marketing world and be one of the first skills you learn to outsource or to complete an expert for
you.
6th Have office space. Working at home can be with different needs of both home and
business meets difficult. If at all possible, a separate office space you can devote for your
business. This will be a good place to set up files (if necessary - go electronically to 100% if you
can!), Business manuals, conference binders, which you visit and office supplies. Attach photos
of your loved ones, for inspiration and motivation, why you have to start your own business. If
you do not have the good fortune to have your own space is devoted, an area within a common
area that has a door and set up a desk, chair and computer. If you're in "work mode" of course,
have oversight for the children, if necessary, close the door to your office and let your family
know that you are working and are not disturbed.
7th Have a Success Mindset. As an entrepreneur is serious. Let's be honest. You want to start
your own online business in the first place to allow more time with your family and income. It's
no fun to earn money, which just covers your business expenses. To be successful, you must
move your mindset from employee to CEO. Demand respect from all. Do not treat your
company want to be a hobby, but they treat you like the money making machine that it should
be. Hire a coach or mentor to support you and guide you on your way to success and keep you in
accordance with your goals.
Getting these seven steps in as soon as possible you will be on the path to success. As CEO of
your own company can be very rewarding and the opportunities are endless. Start off right!
