PROCEDURE
• Extract stress histories and calculate fatigue
lifes from stress data from multiple FEA
solutions
– User selects the FEA solution sets used to define
each load condition
• Determine plane of critical fatigue damage
– Calculate stresses and fatigue damage in angular
increments about each node
– Sum damage for each angular increment
• Display Results

on the job control form, the
software produces a stress-
time history for each node
containing N points
(extracted from the N load
cases). It then conducts a
rainflow cycle count and
calculates fatigue damage (a
typical SN analysis).
