Tony Walsh’s business, Advanced Thermal Imaging (ATI) is offering a technologically advanced thermal
imaging service at an affordable rate in Conception Bay South since 2009. The business was started with
the with financial assistance and business counselling from the Community Business Development
Corporation (CBDC)-Cabot. Despite Tony’s competitive rates, he has already seen a growth in sales.
While working with a local instrumentation company, Tony Walsh discovered infrared thermal imaging
and began to explore the applications and versatility of this technology. Tony identified a demand for
thermal imaging in commercial and industrial sectors that was not met. These commercial demands
included the identification of insulation deficiencies, water and moisture infiltration, and pipe tracing
among others. Furthermore, infrared technology was needed by the average homeowner although the
technology was far too expensive. Tony’s company would capitalize on the identified demand from
industrial and commercial sectors while making the technology affordable to the average homeowner.
The most popular use of infrared technology is revolutionizing the way people buy and sell homes and
approach renovations. ATI offers thermal imaging services, quality instrumentation, and industry-
approved training that allow home owners to discover how they can save on energy costs, protect their
family’s health, and achieve peace of mind with their homes.
