Troop Uniform Policy:

Class “A”: Worn October through May at scout meetings and traveling to/from scouting activities.
        The full Scout Class “A” uniform consists of a BSA Scout shirt, BSA Scout shorts or pants, Scout belt,
and Scout socks. Currently, Troop 424 does not require hats or neckerchiefs as part of its uniform. Patches
required to sown on the scout uniform are Occoneechee Council strip, World Crest of Scouting, Unit Numbers
(a single unit number patch is available for purchase from the troop), and if earned as a cub scout, Arrow of
Light and Religious Emblem knot. In addition, a scout will be assigned to a patrol and a patrol patch will be
provided by the troop. Use the guide below to determine placement of patches.




Class “B”: Worn June through September at scout meetings
       The full Scout Class “B” uniform consists of any scouting related t-shirt, BSA Scout shorts or pants,
Scout belt, and Scout socks.

You can buy the uniform, and other Scout supplies at the Council Scout Shop in Raleigh (888-421-4744), or by
BSA Catalog Sales at 1-800-323-0732 or www.scoutstuff.org. You may also wish to check the thrift shops in
the area for clothing.
