Rock Out to Stop Hep B and Liver Cancer!

Join
The California Hep B Free Tour
coming to a city or college campus near you!

Hear speakers tell you how you can prevent and treat hepatitis B disease including liver
cancer!

Listen to some of the hott-est and rocking-est bands play on the Hep B Free Tour!

It’s estimated that over 2 million American citizens are infected with the hepatitis B virus
and yet only 50,000 are under medical treatment. Most infected people do not even know
they are infected. Up to 30 percent of chronic Hep B patients will eventually develop
liver cancer or other liver disease.

Don’t let what you don’t know kill you. Talk to your doctor. Get tested for hepatitis B.
Then talk to your family, friends and community members. Together, we can end the
spread of hepatitis B infection, and prevent the biggest cause of liver cancer worldwide.

The California Hep B Free Tour
By organizing our community, we can help end up to 80 percent of all liver cancers in
California, and even the entire nation. A pilot program being launched in San Francisco is
starting to do just that. The San Francisco Hep B Free campaign is a community launched
and community based effort to spread education and awareness about how to prevent and
treat liver disease caused by the hepatitis B virus.

The California Hep B Free Tour will reach out to communities across the state calling on
them to join the effort to end hepatitis B disease by spreading awareness through groups
and personal contacts. Performing groups along with speakers will draw crowds who will
learn more about prevention, screening, vaccination, and treatment of this serious disease
while enjoying great shows. The Tour particularly reaches out to college campuses and
community events.

The California Hep B Free tour utilizes a network of hepatitis B activists and community
groups including Team HBV, the Asian Liver Center at Stanford University, AsianWeek
newspaper and other media and local partners.
