Grant Request Proposal 2006
For the convenience of the Adams County Community Foundation (ACCFoundation)
Grants Committee and the organizations providing requests for funds, the
ACCFoundation grant process has two (possibly three) phases. These phases (with
the deadlines) are:
Phase I
1. Initial acceptance.
Spring Grant Season: Deadline by 4:00 PM, 1st Thursday in April*
Fall Grant Season: Deadline by 4:00 PM, 1st Thursday in October*
*In the ACCF office, postmarks are not considered
The nonprofit organization submits a one-page request (plus supplemental material) to
provide an overall view or summary of their funding and program request. If the
organization’s request is approved for Phase I, then the organization is responsible for
providing a complete application (Phase II). Contact will be by mail.
Phase II
2. Submit complete application. (You will be given notice if this is necessary)
First Granting Season: Deadline: 4:00 PM, 4th Thursday in April**
Second Granting Season: Deadline: 4:00 PM, 4th Thursday in October**
**If a Phase II is necessary, each organization will be contacted
The organization, which has passed Phase I, may be considered by the committee for
funds; however, being invited to participate in Phase II does not guarantee funds will be
provided. Rather, it indicates the organization and project is acceptable for
consideration by the ACCFoundation Grants Committee.
Phase III
3. Visitation. (An appointment may be arranged)
Occasionally, the committee may make personal visits to an organization, which
submitted a request for funds. This may or may not be announced, depending upon the
requesting Grant Committee member and time available.
The Adams County Community Foundation Board of Directors and the Grants
Committee appreciates the time you took to fill out this application. It is the desire of
the committee that this Phase I / Phase II method will assist the organizations
submitting requests.

Phase III
Interview
An on-site interview with the applicant(s)
may be scheduled to review the organization’s
facility and further review the organizations request for funds.
Announcement of Grant Recipients
Spring Grant Season: Acceptance / Denial letters will be sent by the last Friday in April*.
Fall Grant Season: Acceptance / Denial letters will be sent by the last Friday in October*.
*These dates may change due to Phase I / Phase II requirements
and Board of Directors meeting dates.
