Tickets on sale for Southcoast Hospitals’ fourth annual Wine & Chocolate
New location, same great event
NEW BEDFORD, Mass. — Tickets are now on sale for “Southcoast Temptations,”
the fourth annual evening of Wine & Chocolate to benefit Southcoast Hospitals.
This year’s event will be held on Thursday, August 12, at 5:30 p.m. at a new
location — Howland Place, 651 Orchard Street in New Bedford.
Proceeds for “Southcoast Temptations: Wine & Chocolate Tasting and Silent
Auction” will support the purchase of a new Southcoast Mobile Blood & Health Van, which
visits communities across the region from greater Fall River to greater Wareham.
“The new Southcoast van will continue the tradition of reaching out to the
communities of the South Coast region by providing a range of preventive services such as
health screenings, vaccines, vision exams, health insurance counseling, education and
medical referrals to more than 4,000 residents each year,” said Veronica Rosa, Chief
Philanthropy Officer at Charlton Memorial Hospital and organizer of this year’s event.
“The new van will also better accommodate the increased demand for community
blood drives and provide more privacy for patients under new federal patient privacy laws.”
A delicious selection from the area’s finest restaurants will be complimented by an
assortment of wines from around the world provided by Trio Liquors in New Bedford.
Dorothy Cox’s Chocolates will once again offer a splendid array of chocolates and candies.
Musical entertainment provided by Anita Asser and young rising star music students.
A silent auction will be held throughout the evening.
