STUDENT INFORMATION SERVICE
The Student Information Service is based on the top floor of the Communal
Building (alongside the Careers Advisory Service).
Opening Hours: Monday to Friday 10.00am to 4.00pm
We are the principal point of contact for most students outside their academic
department. You will need to visit SIS Reception if you: apply for a Visa
Renewal; apply to the Financial Relief Fund; apply for a travel award; need
council tax certification; need a 'confirmation of study' letter; need a replacement
UB card.
SIS staff provide practical help and advice on a wide range of student matters,
including financial issues. We will also put you in touch with a range of other
services outside our remit. We have links with other areas within Student
Services, especially the International Office. We are in regular contact with
related services within the University, including the Student Registry. We also

So, if you are seeking information or advice on a particular issue please don't
hesitate to contact us. If we don't have the answers we probably know someone
who does.
