Assignment: 1.Navigate to google and search for cool adobe illustrator techniques.
2.Find one technique you like, open the tutorial and create your very
own question mark. If there is enough time create 2 or 3 or 4.
3.When complete, make sure the resolution is set to 300 dpi and upload
it to Yearbook Avenue.

Assignment: Set 3 goals for yourself that you can accomplish before the end of first
quarter-4 weeks away. Save in a Word document as 1st quarter goals.

Assignment: Incentive program- Friday before Christmas break there will be a
raffle for fun and unique prizes. The total amount of prize worth in the
raffle follows, based on the amount raised by the yearbook staff:
$1000-$100 worth of prizes
$2000-$200 worth of prizes
$3000-$300 worth of prizes
$4000-$400 worth of prizes and a pizza party
$5000-$500 worth of prizes, a pizza party and movie tickets for
everyone!!!
$6000-$600 worth of prizes, a pizza party and 2 movie tickets for
everyone!!!
$7000-$700 worth of prizes, a pizza party, 2 movie tickets for everyone
and a field trip?
Sell Business Ads for credit and incentive. Every $50 you sell, you

each yearbook staffer to discuss the goals of your upcoming pages,
what you need, who your guess who is, what your article is going to

Objective: Production, production, production.
Assignment: Focus on the big 4 in yearbook leading up to the first deadline.
Business- Yearbook Sales, Ad Sales
Writing- Conduct solid interviews for creating stories that capture the
year on your assigned pages
Photography- Make your pictures stand out-do something that hasn’t
been done before-challenge yourself
Design- Use templates to create better designed pages-think outside the
box and don’t be afraid to ask for help
10/17-10/21
Objective: DEADLINE FRIDAY!!! Pages will be graded Monday, October
24th, and submitted for final review before print.
Assignment: Business- Yearbook PFD Special this week only, best last deal of the
year…
Writing- Create better stories that capture the year!!
Photography- Looks great!!
Design- Finalize your designs and make your pages pop!!
10/26-11/4
Objective: Deadline 2 focus!
Assignment: Pages 17-48 Due November 18th.
Portrait pages- Gather information to put on your pages. Portraits are
put in automatically by Mr. Wagoner when he receives the portrait CD
from Lifetouch, approximately November 7th.
Junior portraits include section for 3 juniors that will be
graduating early-Place professional portraits, quote, and
achievements there.
Business/Senior Ads!!- Remember, you have to sell 2 of these as part
of your grade.
