Charter
The Publish/Find/Bind Subcommittee of WSRP is tasked with identifying the
requirements and recommending specifications for portlet service publication and
discovery. The primary focus will be on UDDI versions 2.0 and later. Depending on
interest, other emerging standards may be considered such as ebXML. The specification
will detail what and how information gets published about Producers and the portlet
services they expose, and what Consumers need to do to discover and bind portlet
services into their environment.
Name
The name of this subcommittee shall be the OASIS WSRP Publish/Find/Bind
subcommittee.
Mailing-List
The mailing list shall be the wsrp-pfb defined at the OASIS site.
Purpose
The aim of this subcommittee will be:
1. Describe how to publish portlet information in a UDDI 2.0 registry.
2. Describe best practices and common scenarios for publish/find/bind.
3. Track relevant registry standards for incorporation into future publish/find/bind
specifications.
Deliverables
The deliverables of this subcommittee will be:
1. Guidance for publishing portlet metadata in a UDDI 2.0 registry
2. tModel specifications to be registered with uddi.org
3. Primer to include common UDDI pub/find/bind scenarios.
