Marketing Director
FMCG JOHANNESBERG R2.0 CTC negotiable Our client, part of a listed national entity responsible for some of South Africa’s favourite brands, is searching for a talented Marketing Director to join their dynamic team. Key business processes and performance indicators: Translating business unit objectives and strategies to develop brand portfolio objectives, strategies and plans to facilitate business unit growth Facilitate the development and management of a healthy, robust portfolio of brands that can command strong market positions in their chosen segments Develop and deliver insightful presentations and strategies to the business unit and executive committee where appropriate Ensure the integration of the business unit marketing function within that of the greater group, and ensure that the business unit optimizes its use of shared and support services Build and develop a marketing team which is competent, commercially astute, dedicated and efficient Assist the business unit to meet its objectives, live the values and culture and to practice company policies Person specification: Minimum of relevant bachelor’s degree, preferably a post graduate qualification Commercial capability Strong functional skills Strategy formulation Natural leader Several years experience as a marketing director/equivalent in an FMCG environment Behavioural traits: Ability to interact and influence cross functionally Ability to influence at a senior board level Ability to operate in a complex environment Ability to identify and keep abreast of trends and apply this within the business Process thinking Creative, innovative Challenge status quo Empower marketing team Team player This is an employment equity position.
