					Lasceski, Regina V.
Regina V. Lasceski, 85, of Filion died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008 at her home.
She was born on April 20, 1922 in Dwight Township, daughter of Joseph and Mary (Polega)
She married Michael Lasceski at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Dwight on Nov. 9, 1940. He
preceded his wife in death on Feb. 25, 1999.
Regina was a life long member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Secretary/Treasurer of Church
School Board of Education for 29 years, Deputy Treasurer Lincoln Township. She enjoyed
spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, playing euchre, going to fish fries,
vegetable and flower gardening, cooking and trying new recipes, polka music, movies and
She and her late husband loved farming and touring crops.
She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. She was a loving wife and mother.
She is survived by three daughters, Janice (Gerald) Holz of Bad Axe, Dolores (Eldon) Vigenski of
Vassar, and Dorothy (Carl) Learman of Saginaw; three sons, Dennis (Elaine) Lasceski of Filion,
Gary (Cheryl) Lasceski of Vassar, and Michael G. (Diane) Lasceski of Rock Springs, Wis.; 17
grandchildren, Linda (Charles) Sirianni, Laura (Ben) Shuart, Lesa Luna, Jerome, Andrew
Learman, Joanne (Bryan) Koratich, Cheri (Travis) Nightengale, Charles Vigenski, Rhonda (Steve)
Geiger, Joseph (Julie) Lasceski, Harold Lasceski and special friend, Tricia, Terry (Becky)
Lasceski, Daniel Lasceski and special friend, Heather, Angela Lasceski, Jennifer (Jay)
Hegemann, Joshua Lasceski, Carmen Lasceski and special friend, Matt; 19 great-grandchildren,
Kyler Luna, Jack Sirianni, Rachel Sirianni, Ava Shuart, Cyle, Caleb, Justin, Jordyn, and Elijah
Nightengale, Rebecca, Elizabeth, and Christina Koratich, Parker Learman, Leo, Jacklyn Toth,
Lucis Geiger, Makenna Lasceski, Beau and Blake Hegemann. She is also survived by two sisters,
Martha Semrau of Roseville, Genevieve (Eugene) Peruski of Minden City; brother, Joseph (Ruth)
Schramski of Centerline; sister-in-law, Marion Murawski of Courtney Manor; and many nieces
and nephews.
She was preceded in death by son-in-law, Gerald Holz; grandson, Aaron Learman; four brothers,
Felix, Tony, Ben, and John Schramski; and two sisters, Anna Lasceski, Marie Osentoski.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 29, 2008 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church,
Dwight. Fr. Mieczyslaw Oniskiewicz will officiate. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday
and from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the MacAlpine Chapel, Bad Axe. There will be a Parrish
Scripture Service at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of
service on Friday at the church.
Memorials may be offered to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bad Axe District Library or Family
Discretionary Fund.
