Lieutenant Governor Announces Leadership Forum Participants
Regina…His Honour the Honourable Dr. Gordon L. Barnhart, Lieutenant Governor of
Saskatchewan, today announced the names of the participants in the 2007 Lieutenant
Governor’s Leadership Forum which will take place October 8 to 18, 2007, in Saskatoon,
Regina, and La Ronge.
The participants include:

Danielle Corrigal, Ile-a-la-Crosse Brett Rumpf, Battleford
Clint Durocher, Pinehouse Lake Stacey Shewchuk, Wishart
Chera Gale, La Ronge Ivan, Slywka, Lipton
Sasha Hanson-Patstran, Saskatoon Meahgan Sweet, Wiseton
Seth Hunt, Regina Michelle Turcotte, Moose Jaw
Lee-Wayne Nippi, La Ronge Janelle Watt, La Ronge
Evan Pavka, Mervin Mitchell Wintonyk, Hafford
“Each of this year’s participants has demonstrated outstanding leadership abilities in
their schools and communities,” said the Honourable Dr. Barnhart. “Over 10
unforgettable days this fall, these students will take part in a variety of experiences
designed to strengthen their minds, bodies, and leadership potential. They also will be
exposed to a wide variety of career opportunities in the province.”
The 18 senior high school students were chosen from applications that were received
from all over the province. Selection criteria included demonstrated leadership in school
activities, in the community, as well as academic achievement and other
accomplishments.
The Lieutenant Governor’s Leadership Forum Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated
to engaging students in discussion and exposure to a variety of experiences designed to
develop personal leadership potential. The Forum program encourages them to accept
the challenge of leadership. The annual Forum is made possible through the generous
support of private sector companies, federal and provincial government departments,
and Crown Corporations.
