CIPFA PLACEMENTS
Background
   In 1992, CIPFA Placements was a small unit within
    CIPFA at Robert Street, providing an additional
    service to CIPFA Members
   In 1993, Placements became part of the Institute of
    Public Finance Ltd
   In early 1994, we had four Associates working for
    us, typically retired treasurers
   During 2009, CIPFA Placements delivered over
    18,430 interim days, generating in excess of £10m
    turnover. This equates to a third of CIPFA Business
    Ltd’s Income and a quarter of the CIPFA Group’s
   Each day we have over 100 Associates working with
    us

The CIPFA Placements Team
From our offices in Croydon, we manage a nationwide
network of Associates working for Clients throughout the
UK.

The Team is:

Our current service is based on the same core values
established in 1994 but we have had to adapt our style to
accommodate the procurement structures introduced with in
recent years due to Master and Neutral Vendor arrangements.

    forward Associates that we have met, referenced

   Maintain personal contact throughout the assignment
   Provide efficient payment systems – invoices paid by
    BACS within six days of receipt
   Provide a network of support – from a range of experts
   Issue quarterly Associate Newsletter – The Grapevine
   Run quarterly Associate Briefings on topical issues that
    are certificated for CPD
   Issue free network training vouchers
   A stable team of consultants who are knowledgeable and
    have worked for CIPFA for many years. In fact, one
    Associate recently wrote “CIPFA Placements team are
    attentive and in tune with the public sector market”.
