      Peripheral vascular disease (PVD) occurs because of an obstruction in large arteries within
      coronary, aortic arch vasculature, or brain of a human body. PVD is also referred to as
      peripheral arterial disease (PAD) or peripheral artery occlusive disease (PAOD). It causes a lack
      of blood supply to the human body. PVD can result from atherosclerosis, inflammatory processes
      leading to stenosis, an embolism, or a thrombus formation. Moreover, this disease is
      characterized by the shrinkage of those arteries that supply blood to the legs. Mild cases of PVD
