02. Introduction
Recruitment software is an application or a tool that assists recruitment companies and
recruitment divisions of companies (companies for which recruitment is not a core business) in
practicing an effective recruitment process. Recruitment software can be developed on the
basis of any licensed or open source software. The functionalities offered by recruitment
software include processes such as applicant tracking, workforce planning, sourcing, on-
boarding, and social recruiting/networking.
Recruitment software is adopted mostly by the companies in the developed countries such as
the United States (US), Canada, the United Kingdom (UK)
