Improve Website Traffic SEO
How to improve website traffic SEO? Due to the fact that I don’t know what your
actions are in terms of SEO, I cannot say whether or not this article will help you.
Nonetheless, with this post, I hope to give an idea on something that could be
done in an attempt to raise a site’s ranking in Google.
SEO is a subject that can be important when a person decides to drive traffic to
his/her website from the search engines. Being positioned on the second, third or
fourth page for example is not the best place for a website. In fact, the goal, as I
understand it is to be among the top 3 on the first page of Google. Yes, there is
also yahoo and Bing that are also search engines, but in this article and on this
site, I am more focused on Google when I talk about search engine optimization.
Additionally, compared to some other ways that could be employed to drive
visitors to a site, SEO appears to be more passive than blog commenting or guest
blogging for instance.
While in general we might not know the exact algorithm that Google uses, there
are still tips that have been given and that seem to work as far as I can say. In this
post, there is one action that is not necessarily advertised by other people that I
would like to share. Please note that I am not an expert.
Based on my own experience, if you have a site that is not performing the way
you want, here is an element that you could check in order to try to bring your
site up in the rankings.
Are you keyword stuffing?
Some people might tell you that you need to repeat more than twice a keyword
on a page. Even right now, this is a belief that I would like to get rid of. In fact, I
have remarked that after removing some instances of a keyword I was trying to
rank for, I have observed an increase in ranking. I can’t say for sure that the higher
position of my site in Google was due to the previous action. However, I have
chatted with an SEO person and he was ranked on the top 3 for a keyword that
appeared only once on his page in an h1 tag.
This is something that one could try, remove instances of the keyword in an
article that are besides the h1 tagged keyword and the keyword in the first
sentence of the page you are trying to rank for. If you see a better ranking from
this, try to remove also the keyword that appears in the first sentence of your
article. Note that I am not saying that you should remove instances of the
keyword that are in the sidebar and menu bar. However, be careful to not have
too many repetition of the keyword on the page.
More could be said about getting visitors. I invite you to look at other posts made
