I recommend that you consider going to the 2 sites listed below and read
what they have to say about Spyware. If you feel comfortable with it you should
download, install and run the products. Both are free but do ask for a donation. I
have both on my systems and run them from time to time. SpyBot recovered my
Grandson’s system that could not get on line due to Spyware that had gotten on his
system.
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/ is the site where you can
download free Ad-aware SE, just click on Ad-aware SE on the right side of the
page. This is currently the best.
You can find Spybot – Search and Destroy at http://www.safer-
networking.org/en/download/index.html Before you download it click on the
Tutorial box on the left to see how the program functions.
There is a mouse over function associated with Java Script that is used on the
Internet. I have been told that malware, bad Internet software, can use this mouse
over function with Popups to hurt your system even when you use you mouse to
close the popup window. The safe way to close popups is with the keyboard using
Alt+F4.
