Partnering for Children
A Partnering for Children event was held at Kathryn’s Collection on March 27th and 28th. This is the second year that Kathryn’s
Collection has supported the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile Program through Partnering for Children. Kathryn Cummings generously
donated 10% of the purchases made at her store during the two day event to the Care Mobile. We wish to thank Ms. Cummings for
her continued generosity and support.
Partnering for Children is a special events program of the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile where local businesses and restaurants will
hold shopping and dining events with a percentage of their sales being donated to the Care Mobile.
Anyone interested in hosting a Partnering for Children event should contact Mollie Ottina at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Chair’s Message CHS Healthcare Updates
I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as the third chair of the Ronald McDonald Care

I am looking forward to working closely with the Advisory Council of the Care Mobile to continue to support all of the needs

The 2009 Pennies from the Heart campaign was a big success, raising $55,000 in Collier County.
Area schools, McDonald’s Restaurants, and Fifth Third Banks collected change and sold “hearts” oFFiCe ChAnges
to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities and in Collier County, the Ronald McDonald
Care Mobile Program. Moved:
Golden Gate Pediatrics and Creekside Pediatrics have both moved to new locations.
Both of the new offices offer more examination rooms and staff areas.
The Village School won the Copper Penny award for raising the most money, $1,500, among the schools for the campaign. Ms.
Janyce Myers, Dean of the school, stated that, “The most important thing is that The Village School has, from the beginning,
selected Pennies from the Heart to be our most important mission each year.” Students at the school begin bringing pennies Golden Gate Pediatrics Creekside Pediatrics

of the week plans the celebration.”
We would like to thank The Village School for their hard work and continuing dedication to the Pennies from the Heart Campaign.
Horizons Primary Care Center has been renamed, “The Mike Davis Medical Center” in honor of the late Mike Davis.
We would also like to thank each of the other schools and everyone else who continues to make this event a success.
Mr. Davis was an admired politician in Collier County who shared CHS Healthcare’s concern for the health care of the
people of this county. He played an important role in the opening of this office and worked to ensure the continued
funding of the center.
