BAU 2007 exhibition held in Munich,

RAK International Half Marathon 2007
RAK Ceramics sponsored the first RAK
International Half Marathon 2007 which was
held on the 11th Feb 2007. The event was
flagged off by H.H. Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al
Qassimi, Crown Prince & Deputy Ruler of Ras
Al Khaimah.
An international class of runners took part in the
event for a prize bonanza of over $155,000
making it officially the world’s richest half
marathon.
The event was a 21.98km run which started off
at Manar Mall and was won by Sammy Wanjiru
of Kenya in a world record time of 58:53sec in
the men’s and Birhan Adere of Ethiopia in
1:10:58 in the women’s category.
