Account Management Support
We’re looking for a self-managing and super organised person to support our Account Management team
here at JustGiving. This is a new and full-time role based in Paddington, close to some of the best parts
of London.
About us
JustGiving is the UK’s leading online fundraising platform. To date our 12 million users have collected
nearly over £840m for over 12,000 charities. Our mission is to grow charitable giving by delivering a
brilliant experience to charity supporters, and helping all charities, especially smaller ones, extend their
reach and fundraise more effectively.
JustGiving is a pretty unique place to work. We have as little hierarchy as we can get away with, with
people working in multi-disciplinary project teams to get things done. Everyone who works here has a
voice and a stake in the business. People behave like owners, and have a huge amount of autonomy in
their roles. We have unusual investors, who believe in growing our business in a balanced and
sustainable way.
About the role
Our Account Management team is responsible for driving the adoption of new and current JustGiving
products that will lead charities to online fundraising success. They also ensure our charity members feel
supported and provide valuable coaching on how to leverage JustGiving tools to achieve their fundraising
targets. In 2011 and beyond, we have exciting, ambitious plans to work with a growing number of large
accounts and improve the service we provide. In order to achieve these stretching targets, our Account
Managers will need to devote themselves to being out and about engaging and conversing with existing
charities and other new prospects.
Your role will be to provide the research, support and reporting required that will free our Account
Managers up and ensure they are ready and prepared to have those productive conversations with
charities and new prospects. This is an integral role that will act as the glue within the Account
Management team.
More specifically, you’ll be spending the majority of your time:
- conducting background research online and analysing the potential growth opportunity for a charity
to fully prepare our Account Managers for meetings
- supporting prospecting activities including scheduling meetings between charities and our Account
Managers whether on the phone or by email, implementing the running of workshop events and
managing marketing collateral to ensure Account Manager are fully equipped
- following up on the outcome of a meeting and ensuring all weekly meeting are summarised
- ensuring all pipeline activity is tracked and reporting our progress back primarily to Account
Managers, and the wider business
About you
This is a key support role with plenty of opportunity for exposure to both account management and other
areas of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial business with latitude for career development in the future. You’ll
be educated to degree level or the equivalent and have/be:
self-managing and proactive – you’re at your best in a busy, high energy environment without
constant supervision. You enjoy working independently whilst being part of a team
time savvy - you’ll get huge satisfaction from being super organised and managing yours and
other’s time well. Procrastination is not in your vocabulary
an instinctive curiosity; you love to do research and discovering new prospects and useful
information
a genuine passion and empathy for charities, the social business sector and technology
tons of flexibility, you can flourish in an environment that is constantly changing where the focus
in on getting things done rather hierarchy or process
a natural and crystal clear communicator who is comfortable both on the phone and email
a confident, positive style combined with the ability to establish rapport with people quickly
nimble with technology software including the web, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
In return for everything that you can bring, we pay competitive market rates and can offer you an exciting,
challenging role in a growing business that’s part of something bigger, with plenty of opportunities to learn
– and of course enjoy it at the same time.
