Description

This questionnaire is designed for creating a business impact analysis report, which is an integral part of a company’s business continuance plan. The continuance plan describes the procedures a company develops to make sure functions essential to business operation continue during and after a disaster. This questionnaire was created to help an organization find any vulnerabilities and to develop strategies in order to minimize risk. It can also help to identify any costs that might be generated by a disaster, such as need for new equipment, backlogged work, or even any loss of profits that might take place due to the circumstances. This questionnaire can also determine which components are more critical and which will require a greater allocation of funds if compromised. By identifying any costs that might arise from a disaster, a company will be able to set aside funds in preparation for such an unforeseeable event. Depending on the type of disaster the business might be faced with sudden legal fees, or extra marketing needs, and a business impact analysis will have helped the company predict such costs in order for them to prepare accordingly.
