FORM 6
Guidelines on receiving applications after “Unclassified Applicant Log” has been
submitted & approved.
1.) Positions with an “Open Until Filled” deadline:
Search and Screen committee is required to review all incoming
applications until an offer for hire has been extended. If the “Unclassified
Applicant Log” has already been approved AND the new applicant is
classified as a Tier 3 or 4, the search and screen does NOT have to submit a
revised Log. If the new applicant is classified as a Tier 1 or 2, the search
committed must submit a revised Log which includes the new applicant.
Normal paperwork should follow if search committee needs to make
another interview request.
If a verbal offer has been extended, the search and screen committee need
only to add the new applicant’s name to the “Open Records Log.” A letter
should be sent to the new applicant letting he/she know that an offer has
been extended. The EEO form does not need to be included.
2.) Position with a “Closed” deadline:
Search and Screen committee is not required to review an application that
is received after the deadline date. Though, search and screen committee
should email the applicant letting him/her know the position is closed. The
new applicant’s name does not have to be documented on the Applicant
Log.
If the “Open Records Log” has not yet been submitted to EAA, the
applicant’s name should be listed on the form. It should be noted on the
Open Records Log that the new application was received after the closing
date. No action is required if the Open Records Log has already been
submitted.
