I write for the following reasons, among others. First, I wanted to personally thank you & Kathy for being in my mom‟s life, and I want to personally thank you for being in my life. The way in which you cared for her (and me) medically & personally is & was a gift of the highest order, in my view. Second, I regret not being invited to my Rose‟s life celebration, at which I would have personally expressed my deep gratitude & respect for and to both you and Kathy. Due to that “oversight,” I now extend my appreciation & thanks (from Us) to you. Third, I feel that I owe you both at least part of an explanation about myself & the path I chose back in 1993 to 2001 to now. There is far too much to condense in a single cover page, so I shall begin with current events. Some of my former colleagues, who I blew the whistle on in connection with my “withdraw” from the Complex Lt field have recently plead guilty to deep corruption charges (fraud on the court) in connection with Fiduciary Class representation in the Law & Economic Securities arena. Here is a short bit on that from another journalist, verbatim: Former Milberg Weiss class-action securities lawyer William Lerach was sentenced Monday to two years in federal prison and two years of probation for conspiring to obstruct justice in a … scheme prosecutors called a “criminal enterprise” begun in 1979. Federal prosecutors estimate that more than $200 million in legal fees went to Milberg Weiss as a result of kickbacks in at least 150 cases. So the overall cost to shareholders, investors and the public in lost jobs and diminished investment portfolios may never be quantified. Worse was the willful abuse of the court system by Lerach and two other Milberg Weiss lawyers who have also pleaded guilty in the case. 1 Mr. Lerach & Mr. Don Howarth & Gary Kendrick, so you know, were the gentlemen that sponsored the „back to back” fed state double actions against me, for the record. Indeed, as a direct parallel, at Mr. Lerach‟s sentencing hearing U.S. District Justice Walter said, verbatim: “This whole conspiracy corrupted the law firm and it corrupted it in the most evil way.” Fourth, my Rose didn‟t get to see how the true story of this phase in my life ends & begins, but I take comfort in her knowing that, before she passed, those close to her will know.
