Aircraft Design in 2025 from Nasa
In late 2010, the U.S. space agency, NASA, gave the contract to the three teamsnamely
Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Boeing Company to examine the concept of
advanced design of future aircraft that could be used in 2025.
As NASA's site loaded, each aircraft design produced three teams appeared different,
however, whatever its design, must meet the criteria set NASA, namely: no noise, no
exhaust smoke, and fuel efficiency.
That means, each plane must balance all the advanced technology andenvironmental
friendliness. NASA also requires that future aircraft can operate safely in air traffic
management that is more modern in the future.
Another requirement: each aircraft must fly at least 85 percent of the speed of sound, can
traverse a distance of at least 7,000 miles, and could carry 50,000 to 100,000 pounds of
cargo, passengers plus cargo.
For the rest of the time set, the team will research, test, and perform simulations. Also
remove and retain innovations so that they can go out as winners in the competition this
NASA.
What kind of third design of this team?
