        Newstalk 106-108 fm sponsorships confirmed for weekend shows

Dublin 8th July 2009

3, Ireland’s market leader in mobile broadband, today announced it has nationwide
coverage of a different kind with all national, international and current affairs news
requirements catered for, following the sponsorships of ‘The Saturday Edition’ and ‘The
Wide Angle’ on Newstalk 106-108 fm by 3 Business.

This marks the latest addition to 3’s broadcast sponsorship portfolio which also includes
sponsorship of the Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show on Today FM and Xpose on TV3.

‘Saturday Edition’ which airs between 08.00 - 09.30 is presented by Brendan O’Brien
and is a concise, fast-paced news and current affairs programme with regular features
such as the News Trip, The Political Slot and The Saturday Interview.

The Award winning international affairs programme, ‘The Wide Angle’ presented by
Karen Coleman on Sunday’s between 10.00-13.00 examines a wide range of
international issues from US foreign policy to any and all Irish involvement in
international affairs.
