SACO CONFERENCE
YORKTON 2008
March 28 to 30th, 2008
Dear Sir/Madame:
The Saskatchewan Association of Conservation Officers (SACO) will be holding a
conference in Yorkton, Saskatchewan on March 28th thru 30th, 2008. Officers from
across Saskatchewan will gather to conduct association business and plan future
initiatives.
SACO is a non-profit organization that has worked hard to promote the profession by
supporting a number of flagship initiatives such as:
Establishing and Maintaining Three Post Secondary Scholarships
Annual fund raising for Saskatchewan Special Olympics
Annual donations to the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation – Habitat Trust
Sponsorship of two seats at the annual Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation Youth
Camp
Support and sponsorship of Ducks Unlimited.
SACO has three recent initiatives that we are very proud of. The Saskatchewan Game
Warden Magazine has an expanding readership and allows SACO to inform the public
about the profession of Conservation Officers and the programs of Saskatchewan
Environment. SACO has sponsored and brought to Canada the very successful “Hooked
of Fishing Not on Drugs” program from the Future Fishermen Foundation. SACO created
and in partnership supports SASKTIP a nonprofit corporation that is dedicated to the
wise use of management of Saskatchewan’s environment and natural resources.
In order to have a successful conference, we required your help. If you or you company
can sponsor our convention by way of donation of items for our silent auction or raffle it
would be very much appreciated. We are also looking for sponsorship of coffee breaks
or other associated functions during the convention. If interested in the latter, please
phone 306-786-1467 for details.
Your donation will help us to host a successful conference, and will allow SACO to
continue its worth while projects. For sponsoring our 2008 conference, we will be happy
to provide:
Recognition on conference materials and website
A donation tax receipt for all cash and/or merchandise donations
A certificate of appreciation
The SACO convention committee appreciates your interest in our plans to hold a
successful conference and hope to hear from you in the near future.
Sincerely,
Dale Wyatt / Shawn Riabko / Dan Sakal
