Fraction: A number that names part of whole or part of a group. Judy’s garden has 8 equal parts. Each part is planted with a vegetable. How many equal parts of her garden are planted with tomatoes?

You can use a FRACTION to describe what part of the whole garden is planted with tomatoes.
In a fraction, the bottom number equals the whole and the top number equals the part of the whole we are trying to find.
