Athletic Training Experience







1997 – Pres. Head Athletic Trainer, Dakota State University



 Solely responsible for all operations of running a successful Athletic Training

program at a NAIA Div. II college level for 12 years.

 Developed the DSU Athletic Training program and facility into one of the

best in the DAC 10 and NAIA.

 Perform outreach for area high schools through the Orthopedic Institute in

Sioux Falls, SD.

 Provide home and away game coverage for all college events and select

Madison High School events.

 Provided the community of Madison a well needed contact in the field of

Sports Medicine.

 Fundraised over $3000.00 per year for last 3 years to assist with operational

expenses.

 In process of implementing affiliated site agreement between SDSU and DSU.

 Built solid rapport with all athletes, parents, and community.



1995 – 1997 Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer, South Dakota State University



 Responsible for training room coverage for all sports and Head Graduate

Athletic Trainer for women’s volleyball and baseball during first year of

assistantship.

 Head Graduate Athletic Trainer for football and baseball during second year

of assistantship.

 Mentored Athletic Training program undergraduate students.

1992 – 1994 Student Athletic Trainer, University of Montana



 Worked with numerous sports at NCAA Div. I program, primarily Men’s

basketball, football, and track and field.

 Head Student Athletic Trainer for football and men’s track and field.

 Graduated with over 1,500 hours and a 3.6 GPA in a curriculum based

program.

 Learned numerous skills involved with the field of athletic training.

 Inspired me to start a career in Athletic Training.

 Teach Prevention and Care of Athletic Injuries for the Physical Education

department.

 Taught numerous skill classes including: volleyball, weight lifting, cross

country skiing, and bow hunting.
