REVOLUTIONARY
Rat City Rollergirls flat-track roller derby
“the fastest growing sport in America.”
Bob Dotson of NBC Nightly News
“They push and shove, throw indiscriminant elbows and employ
whatever tactic is necessary to bring their opponent to the
ground, all the while maintaining an air of glamour and sensual
femininity reminiscent of the pin-up era. Witnessing the stark
contradiction wheel around the track ignites a similar effect
amongst its viewers; the audience is left pleading for mercy while
begging for more.”
Lauren Skelton, Sports Reporter, Seattle.net
"Sport star paychecks were looked at in a 2005 column and
again last year when I noted that athletes in the most entertaining
Seattle-based sports team take home no paycheck at all -- that
would be the Rat City Roller Girls."
Cathy Sorbo, Columnist, Seattle PI.com -- "Not to
worry at all, readers -- this column is not about guns
KeyArena Seating Layout 2010
"Today marks the 30th anniversary of the Seattle Sonics' first and
only NBA championship, but at the wayward team's former Seattle
home, the weekend held no nostalgia. In a noisy intersection of
business, sports and culture, KeyArena was alive over the
anniversary weekend with a decidedly different vibe: the Season
Championship Bout of the Rat City Rollergirls."
Steven Goldsmith, Associate Editor, Puget Sound

“I think the Flat Track Derby is one of the hottest tickets in the sports
world and the WFTDA is the premiere association for the many
leagues and teams playing this sport. We are delighted to work with
them and look forward to a long profitable relationship in all areas.”
