Surface fairing (keel fin material) Rule 19.2

Any keel fin fairings with a nominal density, including

any cavities and/or core material, significantly lower

than the main structural elements of the keel fin shall be

declared. For the purpose of this rule, a keel fin fairing

does not include surface fairing, filling and painting

materials up to a total thickness of 10 mm, measured

normal to the local surface of the keel fin.

STANDARD HULL DATA



There are a number of production designs for which we have either STANDARD or SISTERSHIP HULL

data which we are prepared to use for un-weighed/measured sisterships, as follows:



LOA, overhangs, Beam, Empty weight, Draft



Note that in most cases, the use of standard hull data will not favour the boat (ie. light weight etc.).

A more accurate rating will always be obtained by official weighing and measurement

(overhangs) of your boat as well as the rig and sails.



We do not use standard rig or sail data except for strict IRC One-Designs (see the One-Design

application form on our website or in the IRC Yearbook) so this must always be supplied.



The list of designs is now maintained on the www.ircrating.org so that it can be kept updated
