V CAST Apps Programming Guidance
V CAST Apps aims to provide Verizon customers with the best, most useful, most
popular applications in the mobile landscape. We’re seeking to offer a storefront
experience featuring only the best-in-class applications. Below are examples of
applications that currently would not enhance the storefront:
Simulation, glorification, or promotion of abhorrent, outlawed, socially unacceptable, or
excessively crude, cruel or violent behavior towards humans or animals
Sexual sounds
“Upskirt” images
“Porn star”-themed apps
Erotic guides
Adult-themed brands, associated with explicit sexual content
Apps that promote or endorse self-harm or suicide
Apps that facilitate or inherently endorse the use of illegal drugs
Prank phone call or anonymous phone calls or texting
Content that is defamatory or likely to place a targeted individual/group into harm’s way
“Shock” apps designed to sicken, outrage or disgust
Additional Information & Resources
With all V CAST Apps submissions Verizon reserves the right to:
Accept or reject services for any product or service submitted.
Reject applications that promote competitors of Verizon or contain advertisements that
harm Verizon’s brand or public image.
Require changes to material not in compliance with Verizon’s guidelines or standards.
Revoke any prior approval due to emergency circumstances or situations of unusual
significance.
