STEWARDSHIP & FINANCE
Stewardship & Development
The Stewardship and Development Board has been commissioned to specify and communicate
the needs and priorities of the parish, to identify and allocate available resources to satisfy said
needs, and to plan and recommend processes and programs that will channel the resources
towards the fulfillment of the parish’s mission.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee oversees the annual budget of the parish and capital campaign projects.
Each month the committee reviews budget reports to ensure a checks and balances of income
and spending in the parish.
Building & Grounds
The Building and Grounds Committee oversees the short term and long range physical needs of
the parish grounds and buildings.
Scholarships
Each year more than $30,000 is needed to help families who cannot afford to pay the full tuition.
Through a third party program, TADS, scholarship needs are awarded on an annual basis.
Families receiving financial assistance are required to do an average of 10 hours of service per
quarter.
Blue and Gold
The Blue & Gold Club supports the operating budget of the school through monthly donations.
Each month you will receive a little “thank you” from the children of St. Joan of Arc plus an
envelope for your contribution. Your donation, whatever it may be, helps support the day to day
events and programs of the school.
Endowment
In the spring of 2000, the St. Joan of Arc Parish established the Parish Educational Endowment
Fund. This fund will help ensure the financial stability of the school so that it may continue to
offer excellent programs to the children and families. With efforts to increase the principal of
this fund underway, the goal of $1,000,000 is possible with your help.
Adopt a Child
Rather than give to the scholarship fund, some donors choose to sponsor a child for a number of
years. This type of sponsor provides the tuition for a child for 1 – 5 years, or more. This type of
scholarship gives the recipient the security of knowing where he/ she will be attending school
in their future. Over the past five years, four individuals have supported six children.
St. Vincent de Paul Fund / Soup Kitchen / St. Agnes
The church has a special fund that serves to help those less fortunate than ourselves. Money
collected is used to help families take care of the basic needs of shelter, food, and clothing.
Donations can be made at any time. A donation box is available in the back of the church.
