Republicans
Under Republican rule Spain and their people had more freedom compare to when the
Nationalists were in power. People were not force to be Roman Caothloics and religion was
being separated from schools. The people were not living in fear and the Republicans were not
using violent ways to controlled them. The Republicans did not used the ways that Franco and
the Nationalists did to win the war. The Nationalists were highly influenced on what was
happening in Eupore that it was that Germany was turning into Nazi Germany and Italy was
having a rebellion. With the Nazi Germany not being a success and lossing World War II. The
Republicans had a better way of controlling Spain than the Nationalists did.
Even thought the way that the Nationalists were using to control the people was being
succesful it was not the way to go. The reason that the Nationalists were able to controlled the
people and make Spain more safe was because the Nationalists made the people scared by
using violent ways. While with the Republicans were not using or belief that it was necessary
for them to used them. In a way the Spanish felt that they were being watch with the way that
the Nationalists were running the country. In real life no one would want to live in a place that
they know that something could happen to them. The Nationalists knew that am were not
using military ways to calm the people down.
With the Republicans in power the people had more liberty and were not force to learn
catholicim. One of the things that the Republicans tried to do was separate the church from
schools. Some students were being force and being converted to be Roman Caotholics. The
Republicans wanted Spain to be more liberal and so thats why they were trying to separate the
church from the schools. Then with the Nationalists they wanted to make Roman Catholic be
the main religion for the Spanish. The Republicans believe that the church had a lot to do with
the problems that the goverment had. They tought that the church had muc influenced in the
goverment and on people.
The Republicans werent has aggressive has the Nationalists with the actions that they
took during the war. Nationalists during the war were receiving help from the Nazi Germany
and Italy with both supplying weaponds and troops. Franco ask for support from Hitler and
Hitler agreed to and grave him a lot of arms. In return Franco learder of the Nationalists was
letting Hitler and his army drop bombs on Spanish terretories killing many Spaniards. Franco
was smart about it because he selected the terretories were he knew that were people
supporting the Republicans .Even thought he knew that many innocent people were going to
get killed because of the bommings. That showed that Franco and his Nationalists did not cared
at all of his own people were killed. The Nationalists were willing to win the war at any means
necessary something that the Republicans were not willing to do. If Franco was willing to killed
people of his own to win the war imagine what he would do to safe his life. Then when Nazi
Germany was in need the Nationalists were not willing to help them after they knew that in
part it was thanks to Nazi Germany that they won the Spanish Civil War. With that it showed
that the Nationalists only wanted to receive help but their were not willing to help others when
they were in need.
The Republicans cared more about their people than the Nationalists did. Their way of
running Spain was more libertal and free compared to the Nationalists way that it was using
violence. With the Republicans in charge of Spain people had more rights and were more free
to choose what they wanted for themselves. In comparison to the Nationalists that wanted to
make Spanish be the main and the only languege that could be in commercials, advetisments
and other places. They too wanted to make school and the church to be combine together so
students would learn and become faithful belivers of the Roman Catholic Church. The
Republicans wanted to separate them because they wanted their people choose what ever
religion that they wanted. The Republicans had a better idea of how to control Spain then the
Nationalists that was mostly military. Spain would have been better of with the Republicans in
power.
