At this time we are in the selection phase of the grant, please apply, then there will be a phone interview and

possible site visit, then we will let you know if you were selected into this exciting new network.

Community Child Care Network (3C’s) is a brand new, one-year contract from United Way. The main focus of

the network is preparing children to succeed in school and life through researched-based strategies to increase

early literacy/language and social/emotional development with children who are high-risk. Studies show that

high-quality; early childhood care increases success for children who are high-risk in the areas of social skills,

educational proficiency and overall emotional well-being. The target areas for the 3C’s network are the

geographic boundaries for Fairfield, Malabon elementary schools in Bethel and Brattain and Maple elementary

schools in Springfield, these districts have a high population of low-income and homeless children with a high

percentage of children on free or reduced lunches.

Providers who provide care in these districts are eligible to apply for the network; our goal is to have six

providers from the Bethel districts and six providers from the Springfield districts. All types of child care is

welcome to apply (DHS Exempt, Registered Family Child Care, Certified Family Child Care and Certified

Center care), to be eligible, please see the flyer or call and ask question at 541-343-3304.

Benefits for the provider include: Clifford Harms Environmental Assessment (ECCERS), program enhancement

financial award based on the ECCERS scores, training on The Creative Curriculum® developmental continuum

assessment toolkits, professional development award and a chance to network with other local providers.

You can make a difference in a child’s life by preparing them with the skills to succeed in school and life.
