COURSE DESCRIPTION
INTRODUCTION
This course will take you on a journey through the exciting world of sports and
entertainment marketing. You will explore the intriguing world of sports and
entertainment from the perspective of marketing. This course will give an
overview of the many career opportunities available in the sports industry. Sports
Marketing is essential to the promotion of sports and the promotion of products
through sports.
The course also welcomes the basic fundamentals of Marketing with Travel,
Tourism, and Hospitality. The tourism and hospitality industry currently
represents the second largest employer in the United States. With the aging of the
Baby Boomer population we are seeing an increased interest in leisure activities.
You will be prepared for careers in a wide array of sports and entertainment,
hospitality and tourism professions including lodging, food service, travel and
tourism, financial management and technology.
