DIRECTIONS TO INSTOW

Instow is between Barnstaple and Bideford on the B3233. At Junction 27 on the M5 take the A361 to

Barnstaple. At the first roundabout outside Barnstaple take the A 39 to Bideford, continue on the A39

for approx. 3 miles leaving the A39 just before the new bridge that spans the River Torridge. Follow

the signs to Instow (B3233) the turn off is about 1 mile from Instow. On entering the village turn to go

along the sea front and the Yacht Club is on the left (by the signal box).

Boat Parking and Launching from the beach below the Commodore Hotel.

INSTOW

The village of Instow boasts one hotel, 3 pubs all of which have good food and an up market fish

restaurant.

The area is a tourist area and the Spring Bank holiday will be a busy time. Accommodation should be

booked early. Why not tack on another couple of days when the children are off school and turn it into

a holiday. Instow has a large sandy beach and when you’ve had enough of that there is cycle riding

on the Tarka Trail which passes through the village. Should the worst happen and it rains then there

are lots of indoor activities close by.
