Thanks for Caring! A great big thank-you to all our parents and
guardians who attended our Parent/Teacher conferences on Nov. 19 th and 20th.
Our goal was to see 100% of our parents and guardians and, with rare
exception, each one of you stepped up and “delivered” on behalf of your
Great Stocking Stuffers………….Just a reminder that we still have Main Street
coupon books available for just $5.00 at our school office. These coupon books not only make
great stocking stuffers, but are the perfect gift for the mailman, paperboy, or anyone else you’d
like to give a little something extra to. The coupons are good until December 31, 2010, so
they will still have plenty of time to utilize the savings.
Let’s Be Safe – Please do not drop off and pick up students in the
back alley. We have had reports of a couple “near misses” during
arrival and dismissal in the alley area. Just a reminder that the
Washington St. door is open from 7:30 – 8:05 a.m. for drop off
Winter Dress: With the arrival of cooler weather, we are asking
parents to dress their students appropriately. We still like to take
the students outside for recess which requires them to have a coat,
hat, gloves, and long pants. Students not dressed appropriately for
the weather will not be taken outside for recess.
Playing Santa……Parents, if you are considering buying a small present for
your child’s teacher, please consider something that can be utilized in the
classroom. Books, games and classroom supplies are always appreciated.
Lastly, I want to take time during this holiday season to thank all of
you that have made me feel welcome at Main Street. Leaving
Hydetown was hard, but Main Street now feels like “home” and I am
enjoying the wonderful faculty, staff and parents, and most off all
the great kids, at Main St. Have a joyful holiday season.
