Getting Started Checklist

 Get approval and Consent to Use of Name from CENTURY 21 Canada on proposed company name.



 File new incorporation, or "doing business as" (dba), with appropriate provincial corporations branch.



 Get approval on proposed new incorporation or dba from your Provincial Real Estate Council.



 Complete the following forms and send to CENTURY 21 Canada: Pre-Authorized Payment for Gold Plan, Pre-

Authorized Payment for Marketing Fund, Pre-Authorized Payment for AIR MILES® Reward Program, and E-mail

and Web Site Addresses.



 Photocopy the Personnel Update Form and complete a form for all personnel, send to CENTURY 21 Canada, or

update your personnel online (see enclosed information for details*).



 Inform MLS and the Real Estate Board of your new company name.



 Send copy of certificate of incorporation, name change, or dba to CENTURY 21 Canada.



 Obtain approval from CENTURY 21 Canada for your external office sign prior to installation.



 Indemnify Century 21 Real Estate Corporation and Century 21 Canada Limited Partnership for one million dollars

on your insurance policy.



 Order cheques with CENTURY 21 approved name.



 Order CENTURY 21 stationery, business cards, badges, brochures.



 Order CENTURY 21 yard signs and AIR MILES® riders.



 Change business forms.



 Set date for grand opening and advise CENTURY 21 Canada.



 CENTURY 21 Canada will prepare a press release announcing your opening.

Personnel Update Form 21 Online Canada/Download Library/Forms

You will need to complete a Personnel Update Form to register yourself and your staff within CENTURY 21 Canada‘s

database (Raptor). Submitting completed forms for your staff gives them access to 21 Online, includes them in the

awards program, and ensures they receive System News, if you choose.



With the Broker‘s permission all registered staff members in your office with email addresses can receive a copy of the

System News e-mail communication. This e-mail communication is sent on a weekly basis. To register your staff

member you must indicate on the Personnel Update Form that you wish to allow all your staff to be sent this e-mail

communication. Only staff with e-mail addresses in their personnel record will receive the communication.



The Personnel Update Form is also used when terminating an individual from the CENTURY 21 System. Completing

and submitting this form when a staff member terminates employment with your office is very important to the security

of 21 Online and will ensure their access to this web site is removed once they‘re no longer a System member.

Keeping your office‘s personnel records up to date will allow us to maintain the security of the 21 Online Intranet site

for all our System members.



The Personnel Update Form is available for download on 21 Online under Download Library/Forms and Resource

Centre/RAPTOR: Transaction Reporting Program. Or, you can update your personnel online through the RAPTOR:

Transaction Reporting Program. Just enter your Office Number and click on Office Reports. If you provide an email

address, you'll receive a confirmation of each update performed.

Office Conversion Sample Letter

The following sample letter has been prepared as a guide for you in writing your own announcement letter. You should

send one of these letters, hand-addressed and signed, to every person that you know, even if he or she has not

previously been a client. Remember, everybody is a potential buyer or seller of real estate.



If you intend to have an Open House at your office, enclose an invitation in every letter. Don't worry about the

attendance. Although only 30% or 35% may attend, the goodwill created by sending the invitations will be enormous.

The CENTURY 21 Learning System (CLS) is the System's industry-leading learning program. CLS integrates the best

of live, computer-based, and stand-alone content to make learning more frequent and accessible, of higher quality and

Courses available through CLS range from CREATE 21 for new agents through to various broker level classes

designed to help recruitment and retention. Live, instructor-led classes are delivered online. There are also over 100

web-delivered self-paced programs from which to choose.



The International Management Academy



The International Management Academy is a unique course designed for the newest members of the CENTURY 21

System. This intensive training opportunity is intended for brokers – owners, sales managers, and management

candidates. The objective of the course is to prepare brokers to operate their real estate company in a pro-active way.

CREATE 21 Canada



Designed for new agents CREATE 21 (Career Real Estate Agent Training and Education) is the initial course in the

Virtual Solution Series (VSS)



The FREE Virtual Solution Series (VSS) classes are delivered over the Internet and typically last no longer than 1½

hours. Students may select topics ranging from real estate specific skills to technology skills to professional

development. Also available are advanced real estate skills classes for experienced agents (ARES). Courses include:

Handling Expireds, 21st Century Prospecting, Contact Management, Target Marketing and Specialization, Working

Bottom Line Advanced Sales Training (BLAST)



BLAST is a first level coaching and accountability program that provides agents with the sales skills necessary to
