Introduction
This three-day, instructor-led course provides students with the
knowledge and skills that are needed to start using and working with
Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer 2007 in designing SharePoint
2007. This course has been designed to introduce students to
understanding the SharePoint Designer 2007 interface, how it interacts
with SharePoint 2007, and the specific functions available through SharePoint Designer 2007 for
SharePoint 2007. This course also utilizes an extensive hands-on lab to put into practice all the
skills learned from this course.
Audience
This course is intended for site designers, site managers and power users responsible for
enhancing SharePoint 2007 with SharePoint Designer 2007 with no prior knowledge of
SharePoint Designer 2007.
At Course Completion
After completing this course, students will be able to:
Understand the architecture of SharePoint 2007
Understand the customization tools provided as part of SharePoint 2007
Create a site structure through SharePoint Designer
Create customized SharePoint themes
Create and manage customized SharePoint Site Templates

Prerequisites
Before attending this course, students must have:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP.
Working knowledge of Office System 2003 or 2007 products
Understanding of web sites and using web browsers such as Internet Explorer
Understanding of SharePoint logical architecture with Site Collections and Sites
Knowledge of previous versions of SharePoint is not required
