RECOMMENDED NETWORK TWISTED PAIR CABLE
Use Belden DataTwist Five solid wire unshielded cable. Use 4 pair cable that is RJ45
compatible. Several variations are available:
1583A (24ga. non-plenum blue or gray)
1585A (24ga. plenum blue or natural)
1583B (24ga. non-plenum hot pink)
1585B (24ga. plenum hot pink)
Other manufacturers have equivalent offerings but be careful to make sure they are
verified EIA/TIA568 Category 5.
Use standard RJ45 connectors wired to the EIA/TIA568B spec. Make sure to get RJ45s
for round cable, SOLID wire (AMP pn 5-557315-4). There are versions made for stranded
cable but they WILL NOT WORK for the cables indicated above.
